The Olathe Public Library's Master Plan is a comprehensive strategy to address the needs of the growing and diverse community of Olathe, Kansas. The plan was developed through extensive research, community engagement, and a thorough understanding of the Library's current strengths and challenges. Olathe is experiencing rapid growth and demographic shifts, making it crucial to plan for the future effectively.

Five focus areas outlined in the master plan include increasing access, providing extraordinary services, strengthening community connections, promoting organizational excellence, and strengthening infrastructure with accessibility being a top priority.

The previous Olathe Public Library Master Plan was finalized in 2012. Key accomplishments from that plan include the creation of the state-of-the-art Indian Creek and Downtown Library locations.
